Architectural office STVAR | Project focuses on organization of sports and tourist infrastructure in reference to recognizable ambience of the lake Bled. Reconstruction and new construction of the buildings in Mala Zaka emphasizes gradations between functional sports facilities (gym, dining, accommodation) in the background and typical Bled villas (elite tourist activity) with a protected monument rowing hangar in the foreground. Operations in even more delicate Velika Zaka are in a careful placement of sports infrastructure - rather than exposing built structures, pursues a mix of different patterns in a present landscape (integration of new referee tower among the treetops, growing green permanent bleachers). Both segments are interconnected by the Rowing promenade, which skillfully draws the attention of a hiker to a variety of recognized qualities along the lake.
